Established in 2009, The Center for American Education of Guatemala CAEGSA is rapidly becoming one of the finest educational institutions in Guatemala offering American degrees. The institution offers two-year programs which are fully transferable to most four-year Colleges and Universities in the United. CAEGSA offers AA and AAS degrees.

Our Facilities
At CAEGSA (The Center for American Education of Guatemala) we provide our students with a complete college atmosphere in order to provide the same type of experience for all of our students transferring to U.S. colleges and universities. This experience is what they can expect once they arrive at their chosen institutions in the future.
Our classrooms are laid out in a way to provide appropriate interaction between the students and professors, providing the necessary atmosphere for effective learning.

Center for American Education of Guatemala and Broward College
The Center for American Education of Guatemala CAEGSA, is academically affiliated with Broward College (BC), Fort Lauderdale, Florida, U.S.A. CAEGSA is a private Educational Institution legally registered in Guatemala aiming to provide high level educational services to students.
Broward College (BC) located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL., was established in 1960. It is one of the 28 community colleges in the Florida public higher education system. It is the 4th largest Community College in the United State catering to over 60,000 students from all over the USA and other countries. BC offers university parallel as well as technical and occupational programs, and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Certificates and Associate and Baccalaureate Degrees.
The Center for American Education of Guatemala CAEGSA, conducts Broward College university-level programs in Guatemala City. BC Board of Trustees approved and signed an affiliation agreement with CAEGSA on April 27th, 2010. CAEGSA has adopted the College curriculum and utilizes Broward’s course numbers and titles, catalog descriptions, course outlines, criteria for faculty selection, grading system and overall academic standards.
Courses are conducted in English. Minimum admissions requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent in the student’s home educational system. Representatives of Broward make visits to CAEGSA to review the program and provide technical assistance twice each year.
Students enrolled at The Center for American Education of Guatemala CAEGSA, can complete up to 60 semester hours of college credit at the freshman-sophomore level leading to the Associate of Arts degree (AA). They may then apply for admission on a transfer basis to colleges and universities in the United States, Canada and elsewhere. Certain non-transfer Associate of Science (AS) or Applied Associate of Science (AAS) degrees are also offered by CAEGSA.

Broward College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Associate degrees. Broward courses taught at the American College of Higher Education are accredited by SACS. The American College of Higher Education itself is not accredited by the Commission on Colleges, and the accreditation of Broward extends only to the Broward courses taught at the American College of Higher Education.
